Have you ever heard the expression “too much of a good thing?” That is the story of Jacques, the cat from Montreal who was too affectionate for his good.
His owners gave him to the local shelter “Michigan Cat Rescue” and explained his action by saying that the cat was too tame and dependent on the owners’ attention. And that he especially loves to sit on his owners’ laps.
“All Jacques wanted was a little love and warmth. But his previous owner didn’t want that. They used to see him as a burden and saw no value in having him around the house,” says one Michigan Cat Rescue employee.
At the shelter, Jacques was always ready to curl up in someone’s lap and soak up all the love he could get!
Jacques spent a year in a shelter before being adopted by a new family. The shelter staff worked hard to find Jacques a new home by publishing a photo and story about him, saying he was very handy and affectionate.
Two weeks later, they finally chose an owner for Jacques, a woman named Liz. She and her family came to the shelter to pick up the cat. Immediately, Jacques sat happily on Liz’s lap and cuddled with her, purring loudly.
Liz says that she’s never seen such a loving cat in her life. She and her family are pleased with Jacques and promise to give him all the love he needs.
The story of Jacques is an inspiring reminder that animals need just as much love, attention, and care as humans do. If you’re looking to adopt a pet, remember to choose an animal that requires as much love and compassion as possible. You never know – it might just be the best decision of your life!
The Michigan Cat Rescue staff is delighted that Jacques finally found his forever home, and they are grateful for all the support and attention he received from the public. With the help of social media, Jacques was able to find his way back home and get the love he truly deserved.
Jacques is a prime example of how animals can bring so much joy and happiness into our lives if we are willing to give them a chance. We’re happy he found a family that loves him!
