Athena, a green-eyed cat, lived two houses down from Redmon. She was so friendly that she often came to play with his son. They liked to watch birds together. Meanwhile, the father gave her food.
After that, she came more often, especially when her father returned from work. She would meet him at the door, happy to see him again.

Around this time, Athena’s owners decided to get two dogs. The four-legged friends were not very happy with the cat sister because how else to explain the reason for her constant stay on the street?
The animals did not get along, but the owners decided to do nothing about it. Athena had no choice but to live on the street.
So the only consolation for the cat was her good neighbor Redmon. Athena even began to spend the night under his porch. Eventually, he noticed the cat’s round belly and decided that she might be expecting kittens.

One day, Redmon Sr. heard a tiny meow under his porch, but he could not find the kittens. The man did not know what to do next. A few weeks later, he was shocked by what he saw.
Three kittens were playing next to Athena. The man immediately took out his phone to take a photo of his daughter, who adored animals.
Seeing this picture, she immediately came to her father. They began to catch kittens in the yard, and the kids did not like it very much.
“The kittens were frightened, but Athena remained in the same calculating mood and went into the house without being forced. We gave all the cats something to eat.” — said the man.

But his daughter convinced her father to keep them until they found new owners.
The daughter agreed with animal rights activists about vaccinations, castration, and sterilization. First, they settled the cats in the spacious basement of her father. Over time, all the cats began to get to know each other.
Grace even gave them names: Zeus, Artemis, and Apollo. The man did not want to show that he was starting to fall in love with these kittens. But Grace also had no room for new friends at home, so in order not to part with the fluffy ones, the only option was to convince her father not to give the cats away.
At first, he wanted to keep only Athena and give the kittens away. Then he liked Artemis and Apollo more and more. Accordingly, giving only Zeus was somehow unfair.
It was unfair to blame her father, but Grace believed he would keep them all. And then came that touching moment when Redmon said he was holding the cats.
Their friendship has been going on for six months, and the cats seem happy. Even their elderly neighbors like to play with them. Athena is pleased. She enjoys sleeping on Redmon’s lap or watching the birds in the yard. Despite all the trials, she remained as friendly as ever.
