Terrible defects do not prevent little Keng from leading a happy and fulfilling life.
This kitten, who was about to be put down because of her deformity, was saved by a kind-hearted staff member at a San Francisco veterinary clinic and eventually found a loving home with the Joyce family.
Keng’s story is one of overcoming adversity and proves that there is no such thing as an insurmountable obstacle to happiness and love.
Keng was born with deformed front legs, which made it difficult for her to walk and play like other kittens. When she was four weeks old, she was brought to a veterinary clinic in San Francisco to be put down. It was a typical day for everyone. But the most terrible for this cat. No one expected it to go like this.
However, one clinic staff member noticed her and felt sorry for the animal. They contacted a local shelter and said they wanted to take care of Keng.
While she was at the shelter, videos were made and distributed showing the active and healthy kitten in need of love and care. One of these videos caught the attention of Joyce and her family, who immediately contacted the shelter to say they wanted to adopt Keng.
Keng quickly made friends with the family’s other cats and dogs in her new home. One of the cats even took the baby under her supervision and taught her all the wisdom of cat life.
Even though she had to adapt to a new place, it didn’t take long. Additionally, her malformed front paws couldn’t stop her from playing and investigating every nook and cranny of her new home.
Not so long ago, Joyce brought to the house another abandoned kitten suffering from the same disease as Kenge, and it turned out that the cat was also a great teacher. Thanks to Kenge, the kitten adapts faster in the new home and also learns to move correctly and better maintain balance, to overcome obstacles that until recently seemed impossible.
Despite her deformed front paws, Keng was able to lead a happy and fulfilling life thanks to the kindness of strangers and the love of her new family.
Kenge continues to inspire people with her story and proves that love and care can overcome difficulties!
