When you hear the name Godot, most likely, the first thing that comes to mind is Samuel Beckett’s play of the same name. But another Godot has been making headlines lately – a street cat from Yerevan, Armenia.
This feline’s story begins with a kind stranger, Mr. Anahit, who finds her on the street and takes her to the veterinarian. The doctor informed Mr. Anahit that the cat had a severe eye condition due to an untreated inflammation and needed immediate medical care. Otherwise, she would risk losing her sight and eventually even her life.
The veterinarian gave the kitten medicine and told the man that the eye would have to be surgically removed. That’s when Mr. Anahit decided to contact his friends, who agreed to help with the cat’s care. They chose to follow Godot and were on hand if Mr. Anahit needed any assistance along the way.
After a few days, it seemed there was no improvement, so Godot’s friends took her back to the vet. She was taken back to the vet, who said that her eye was so large that it could start to affect the brain, and surgery was the only option. She was taken to the operating room, where she underwent a successful operation.
Now Godot is on the road to recovery thanks to the love and care of her hero, Mr. Anahit. Thanks to him, this little street cat now has a new lease on life! If Godot’s story touches you, please share her tale to help raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering cats.
If it weren’t for Mr. Anahit’s thoughtfulness and generosity, this innocent creature would have never experienced a second chance at life. People like him show us that there are still kindhearted souls in the world.
So, the next time you see a homeless animal wandering down your street, don’t ignore it – lend a helping hand. Who knows? You may just be changing their life forever!
