When Alyssa Smith, co-founder of a non-profit animal rights organization, found a tiny lonely kitten in Carson City, California, she knew she had to take him in.
“He was nitty-gritty,” says Alyssa Smith, co-founder of the non-profit animal rights organization. “Probably about four weeks old, but he’s tinier than most one-week-olds.”
Erin and her 11-year-old son Chris stepped up to help despite his small size. They took care of the kitten around the clock, bathing and feeding him every few hours.
Over time, Fluffy grew more extensive and more energetic. He compensated for his small size with his colorful and playful nature, running around and purring loud whenever he was on a human shoulder.
Fluffy adores scaling shoulders and loudly purring when he’s up there. Erin says, “He enjoys sitting on my shoulder and looking around.”
With his boundless energy and playful spirit, Fluffy is a true delight. Whether he’s scaling shoulders or playing with toys, we can’t help but love this adorable little kitten!
Despite disliking food, the kitten is gaining weight and learning to play. He perseveres through everything. He started as a tiny, scared little kitten, and through the kindness of Erin and her family, he has grown into an energetic and loving cat. With his playful nature, it is clear that Fluffy loves life.
“Since adopting Fluffy, I’ve learned just how much joy and companionship an animal can bring into our lives. I’m so grateful to Alyssa and the rest of the animal rights organization for taking in this unique little kitten and giving him a loving home.
I hope more people follow their example by adopting animals in need and providing them with love and care. After all, every animal deserves a safe place to call home.”
Whether they are big or small, every cat deserves love and protection. Thanks to Erin and Chris’s kindness and many others who helped care for Fluffy along the way, this tiny kitten went from being lonely and helpless to becoming a happy, confident cat who loves life.
