The story of Garfield, the little cat, began when he was found on the street. A concerned man noticed a thin, exhausted kitten on the road. He had fleas and ticks. The man took the animal to the shelter, where he received help.
Megan Scott-Hintz is one of those people who regularly take care of animals. When she saw tiny Garfield, she could not resist and took him home.
At home, the woman noticed that the kitten was very calm. She expected the baby would get used to the new place for a long time and avoid people, but he quickly got used to it.
The next thing that surprised Megan was Garfield cuddling up to her almost wild cat, Captain Pickles.
Megan adopted Captain Pickles over nine years ago. She tried to make him a pet all this time, but the red cat preferred to spend all the time outside and came home only to eat.
But when Garfield appeared in the house, it was as if he was replaced. He immediately made friends with him, did not leave, and slept next to him.
Later, Garfield needed the help of a veterinarian. The woman took him for treatment for a whole week. His health gradually recovered.
“When Garfield and I returned home, Captain Pickles was pleased. I did not expect such a reaction from him!” — says Megan, – “That day, he never left Garfield’s side! He licked him and warmed him with his warmth. He seemed to feel that the cat needed care and attention. When I tried to take him away from the kitten, he got angry and tried to bite me!”
Captain Pickles made it clear that he was doing everything right! His parental instincts kicked in! They became best friends! Captain Pickles appeared to teach little Garfield all the subtleties of cat life! Watching them is a pleasure! Cats are fantastic creatures!
