Meet Quincy: the cat with an unusual obsession. This sweet, affectionate feline has one passion in life – a cardboard cutout of actor Danny DeVito.
Quincy’s owner, Twitter user radtoria, bought the cutout as a joke for her partner but soon found that the figurine piqued her cat’s interest.
“I started putting it in the window to make our neighbors’ walks more interesting. Then, at night, I take it down to close the blinds,” the radtoria told. “I woke up every time to see Quincy cuddling with him.”
The constant attention of the cat did not affect little De Vito it seems that Quincy loves him just the way he is!
This cardboard cutout is not just a toy for Quincy – it’s a beloved companion. He stretches his paws over it protectively if anyone tries to take it away.
Quincy’s adoration for Danny DeVito may be unusual, but it’s clear that this cat knows exactly what he wants – and isn’t afraid to show it off.
“He is cautious and delicate with it– never ruining it by chewing or playing too rough. It’s almost like he knows it isn’t a regular toy,” the woman said, trying not to sound amused. “If I ever try to take it away from him now (which I don’t anymore), he just stretches his paws over top of it and gives me this ‘don’t touch me’ face.”
Of course, Quincy still finds time to sit with his family. After all, they were the ones who were kind enough to bring his favorite little cardboard cutout of Danny DeVito into his life. And for that, we’re sure Quincy will always be grateful.
Now Quincy can often nap with his beloved cardboard DeVito by his side. Who knew Danny could be such a cat’s best friend?
