There’s nothing like the power of friendship to help us through tough times.
Unfortunately, when my 89-year-old grandmother broke her leg, we had to bring her to the rehab center for treatment. At her age, it is dangerous, but she is recovering. Not only do we miss her, but also our red cat, Morris. They always love to spend time together. Grandma is reading a book in a chair, and Morris sits on her lap.
They seem to adore each other. And separation has become a real challenge for them. And as expected, she started to miss her family – especially her red cat, Morris. It only took a few days for Morris to realize that his grandma was no longer home. He became restless and just wasn’t himself.
When we took my grandma to the rehabilitation center, he immediately changed. Morris started to miss her. That went on for a week until we came up with something.
Secretly from the doctors, we brought the cat to the ward to my grandmother. At first, we put him in a carrier. Then in a clothes basket and covered with a sheet. He was so obedient then. And politely rode with us in the car.
When we got him out, he was pleased. Grandma started tearing up and said she missed him so much. I put him on the bed with her, and he curled beside her. It was so sweet. And when the nurse entered the room, we held our breath.
— Who is this handsome cat? I’ll bring him some water! — the nurse replied.
We are convinced that with Morris, our grandmother will recover much faster. Look after the people who matter most to you and maintain those close relationships! This story is an excellent example of the importance of friendship.
