Lola was a young cat when she was separated from her mother. She and her siblings were taken to a shelter, where a new family adopted them.
For seven months, her owners loved and cared for Lola until they decided to get another pet. This time, they chose a fashionable Maine Coon breed cat, and Lola was happy for the company.
But her owners soon realized they only wanted one glamorous cat, so Lola was taken to live with her grandmother in the village. The grandmother did not want a cat, so Lola spent most of her days outside until she found a new home with the neighbors.
After the grandmother once again kicked the cat out, it never returned. She found shelter with neighbors in the kennel of a neighbor’s dog, Quinty.
The owners were amazed when they saw a cat in his kennel because the dog silently lay down next to him and tried to warm the uninvited guest with his body. The cat in the box was purely an accident — it had just run away from its difficult life and stumbled upon the shelter where it decided to stay warm.
The second surprise was that Quinty, a guard dog who generally doesn’t like strangers or other dogs, accepted her. He not only didn’t show hostility but took her under his wing. Quinty is a hunting dog, but he is well-trained. The dog calmly puts up with the neighborhood cat and even lets her eat from his bowl.
The news about the unusual “neighbors” quickly spread throughout the village, and soon enough, people offered to give Lola a home. Except that the cat wouldn’t go anywhere. Now Lola has her own house near Quinty’s kennel — well insulated in case of cold weather.
The cat and the dog became friends; they live next to each other and get along well. They eat and play together, which proves that upbringing is essential and can even overcome stereotypes about the war between cats and dogs. And Lola, who was once unwanted and neglected, now has a loving home with a loyal friend.
