Since the Cat Was Taken From the Street in a Terrible Condition, He Was Unrecognizable!

When McCheeks was just a few weeks old, he was rescued from the streets by the Best Friends Animal Society of Los Angeles. This kitten has had a difficult life so far, but with the help of the kind-hearted staff at BBASLA, he has a chance for a better future.

The first person to meet McCheeks, Diane Barber, decided to name him after his fluffy and adorable cheeks. Barber contacted one of her colleagues, Samantha Bell, who agreed to take tiny McCheeks as a foster child. Even though he had spent much time outside, McCheeks was very gentle and sensitive. When his rescuers came to pick him up, he had a calm expression and submitted to their hands. It was clear that he was delighted to be saved.

“He exudes confidence and has a great personality. He loves to purr and be affectionate. In other words, he’s the perfect cat! When you pick him up, he melts in your arms and gives you a little hug.” — Samantha Bell, McCheeks’ foster mom.

He cries for attention and will do anything to make Samantha hold him most of the time.

“If we are feeding the other cats, he screams to be fed first. He’ll meow if no one is paying attention to him until someone notices him”. Samantha said that if you have a treat in your hand, He’s found it.

That is a kitten who knows how to enjoy the simple things in life, like a comfy lap to sit on and someone to give him all the love he deserves.

McCheeks is currently living with Bell and her family. He is still adjusting to indoor life but is doing well and has already made himself home.

McCheeks is a sweet and loving kitten who has been through a lot in his short life. Thankfully, he is finally safe and loved.

This furball loves spending days in his rescuer’s arms, Samantha. Despite being only two years old, he wants to spend the rest of his life this way. They were considering changing his name because he is so affectionate; as she said: “We should seriously consider renaming him McLovin because he loves so much.”
