Meet Cotton. This street cat’s eyes were so stuck together from an infection that rescuers thought he had lost his sight forever. Thanks to concerned people, the kitty could open his stunningly beautiful eyes.
One morning, a resident of the U.S. state of Florida saw an unfamiliar picture when he stepped out on the porch of his house. He saw a stray cat in a terrible state – it greedily ate from the bowl of the man’s domestic cat. But the landlord didn’t chase the visitor away; he got a carrier, took some cat food, and took him to a specialist veterinarian clinic.
The veterinarians determined that Cotton hadn’t eaten or drunk for several days, and that’s why he was so greedy to eat food from someone else’s bowl. Cotton was suffering from a neglected case of scabies, so bad that his eyes were slimy and crusty, and he couldn’t see. The poor thing had been wandering the streets all this time, completely blind.
A concerned woman named Weinberg took the cat into her care. By feeding him, medicating him, and regularly rubbing oil into his fur, she nursed the cat back to health. Under her loving care, Cotton’s eyes finally healed, and he could open them for the first time in who knows how long. Now he is a healthy and happy kitty who loves to play and cuddle with his new mom. Weinberg says that even though Cotton is still getting used to seeing, he is doing very well, and she is so happy that she was able to give him a second chance at life.
Love and care are the most potent antidote to any situation. Gradually, the kitty became healthier, his fur began to grow back white and soft, and the itchiness stopped. However, the best part was when Cotton opened his glistening eyes for everyone to see!
