In Phoenix, firefighters were extinguishing a fire in a five-story building. The operational duty officer received the signal about the emergency at almost 11 pm.
An apartment on the 1st floor caught fire. The owner managed to run out and warn the neighbors. In 3 minutes, the police and fire service were already there.
The owner told the firefighters that he was sleeping when his cat Lori started meowing, biting, and scratching his hand. The man woke up, saw smoke from the kitchen, and ran outside.
“The owner met us on the street. He said there were no people in the apartment, but his cat was still there. We entered the apartment, extinguished the fire; the fire area was only 2 square meters and broke the window for ventilation. I found the cat almost immediately. He was lying in the corner; he was having convulsions,” Bryan said, the chief of the fire and rescue unit.
