Inna’s heart was heavy with sadness. Her father had passed away four years ago, but she still missed him dearly. The only thing she felt close to him was her kitten, Monty. The older man had rescued the cat from a neighbor’s dog and loved him very much. When Inna’s father died, he left Monty in her care.
One day, Inna visited her brother in town and asked him to look after Monty for a while. She knew caring for the kitten alone would be challenging since she worked full-time. But when she returned, she was devastated to find out that her nephew had let the cat out, and he was lost.
Inna searched high and low for Monty, but she couldn’t find him anywhere. It was as if he had vanished into thin air. Eventually, she gave up hope of ever seeing her beloved kitten again.
Inna saw a funny red cat on the shelter’s website and decided to take him for herself so that she wouldn’t be so sad. He was nothing like Monty, but he supported his new mistress in a cat-like way and didn’t let her be sad. He always purred on her shoulder and set the mood.
After Redy appeared, Inna decided to help the animal shelter and became a volunteer. She wanted to give all the orphaned dogs and cats her warmth and care because she knew how much they needed it.
Two years passed. The shelter administrator told Inna that a cat in a carrier had been dropped off. She opened the page and saw a bitten-off ear. Green eyes. The gray fur. At that moment, Inna’s heart almost stopped. There was Monty.
The cat remembered his mistress and meowed loudly as if he were saying: “Finally, we found each other again!” They hugged and didn’t want to let go. Now Inna had two cats that she loved with all her heart. They brought her joy and happiness and helped her through tough times.
It seems as if it was impossible. But different miracles happen in life. And Inna’s story is no exception. The cat was not only a pet but also a reminder of her father. So it is a great happiness that they are together again!
