When they spotted the kitten shivering on the cold concrete, they knew they had to help. It was clear that the little ball of fur needed assistance and fast. They both knew that time was of the essence. Because at first, they even thought that it was already dead.
The kitten was lying alone in the street, curled into a tiny ball covered in goosebumps. When its leg twitched slightly, they suddenly had a glimmer of hope. They picked up the kitten and rushed it to an animal clinic.
Andy told us that he and his partner found the kitten beside an automotive repair shop. The mechanics said street children had brought him there and played with him. He was covered in dirt, and pus had made one of his eyes shut.
The kitten was first cleaned by a vet and given antibiotics for an eye infection at the clinic. As he began to heal, his beautiful green eyes opened wide and stared into theirs. They gave him the name Alden.
Even though Alden was still waddling a bit when he walked, “he can walk without limping and cries loudly for more milk!” said Andy.
Alden arrived in his new forever home on October 10. He is recovering well, has a healthy appetite, and is becoming more active daily.
Thanks to the quick thinking of two kind strangers, this kitten now has a chance at a happy and healthy life.
