One day, while walking her dogs, a woman noticed something strange near the bottom of a ditch. It looked like an animal, but it wasn’t easy to tell from a distance. When she got closer, she realized it was a ginger cat stuck inside a cat litter box! This poor kitty would have been left without food or water if it weren’t for this kind-hearted woman.
The kind-hearted woman could not believe someone could be so heartless to their pet, so she brought the cat to the nearby Wolcott Dog Pound. There was not even a blanket to warm him in the cold that was on the way. They took care of him there, and he was finally warm and safe.
The pound was happy to take in the poor boy and quickly shared his story on social media, hoping someone would provide more information. He stated: “This is no way to ‘re-home’ any animal.” Abandoning a pet to its fate is cruel, even worse when it can’t take care of itself!
Desmond’s Army is committed to ending animal cruelty and will give $1,000 to anyone with information leading to the capture of the individual responsible. You can contact them through their Facebook page.
If you ever see an animal in need, don’t hesitate to reach out for help or call your local animal shelter. Together, we can ensure that all animals are treated with love and compassion.
Thankfully, this story has a happy ending thanks to the woman’s quick thinking and compassion. Let this be a reminder always to be vigilant when walking your pets, as you never know when you might come across an animal needing help.
