Despite Bombs Coming Here, Cat Cafe Owner Plans to Protect Cats to the End

His café is home to over 20 cats who love to greet visitors and relax with them as they enjoy their meals. For Oliynyk, the café is more than just a business- it’s a haven for the people of Lviv and the cats who call it home.

Many people flee Ukraine to escape the invading Russian army, but not Oliynyk. He and his family are staying to protect the cats.

“Since our cats were four months old, they’ve been living in the cat café,” Oliynyk said. “They are like family to us. We realize that we will never leave our country; this is the only place we see ourselves in the future.”

Oliynyk started the café with a small team of close friends who had become his family. The cats are also used to these people who help take care of them and play with them when there are few guests.

A café is a place where people can come and relax, forget about the stresses of life, and enjoy the company of other cats who are always happy to see them.

Even with the bombs falling, Oliynyk refuses to leave his cats behind. He plans to protect them to the end, even if it means putting his life at risk. For him, it’s worth it- a café is a special place that brings joy to many people and cats. It’s a place worth fighting for.

“Our café has three large rooms, two located in the basement. In case of an air raid warning, there is a safe shelter for our guests and cats.” The café cares about both cats and its visitors. Safety is above all!

“We love our country and will never leave it despite the bombs. This is our home, and we will defend it.” Oliynyk is a true patriot who loves his café and its furry residents. He plans to stay and protect them no matter what happens.
