The Abandoned and Lonely Kitten Barely Survived: There Was Only One Thing Keeping Her Alive

When Jacinda was three days old, she was found abandoned and alone on the street. She had been separated from her mother and was screaming for help. Fortunately, she was rescued by a kind-hearted foster mom named Susie. Susie called the tiny orphan Jacinda after the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Adern.

After a few days of good nutrition, Jacinda began to grow, and soon she was expressing her pleasure with the slightest purr. Later she began to overcome small distances.

Around this time, Susie made an important discovery of her own!

When kittens are tiny, it can be challenging to determine their sex. At first, the shelter staff thought that Jacinda was a girl. But as she grew up, it became clear that she was a he!

The one thing that always amazed Suzy was Jacinda’s appetite! Now she knew why. He didn’t eat food; he inhaled it. And he has a real man’s appetite!

Suzy thought of a new name and named the kitten Jay.

As he continued to grow, Suzy received some news that broke her heart. She would need to leave the country for work for about a month.

This would mean giving up her duties as a foster mother until she returned. It also meant saying goodbye to her little boy.

So she had to look for a new family for her beloved boy.

After a while, Suzy returned home, and the first thing she did was run to the house where Jay now lives. He grew up to be a lovely kitten!

“Yesterday, I paid a visit to big boy Jay’s domain, where he runs the show in the kitten room! He has grown into a playful love bug, super affectionate and always purring. He’s also quite the social butterfly.” — Susie, Jay’s Foster Mom.

Although they now live in different houses, Suzy and Jay will always have a special bond. Jay will always be grateful to Susie for rescuing him from the street and giving him a chance at a happy life.
