Confused Seal Pauses to Thank Rescuers Before Returning to Herd

Recently OCN Shared a video of Antoine and Naidet rescuing seals in Wolfish Bay. These Poor animals had become entangled in commercial fishing nets, strewn about the beach as fishermen often leave them behind.

When seals find themselves trapped by a fishing net, they often react with desperation, running and inadvertently tightening the net until it causes pain.

Entangled seals often bite their rescuer and run away as fast as possible because they think they are being threatened. That’s why Antoine and Naud were amazed by the baby seal’s sweet reaction after they freed it.

This seal is grateful to be free from the net, and she takes a moment to thank her rescuers before swimming away. This shows that animals can feel gratitude, and we should all be thankful for the work that Antoine and Naud do to help them.

The seal was struggling with the net as the rescuers approached it. There was a sharp fishing line around its neck, so the rescuers had to grab the baby by its neck to get rid of the wire. However, during this process, the seal remained surprisingly calm and looked at men with curiosity instead of fear.

When released from the deadly net, it stayed on the sand for a while before eventually joining the herd. In gratitude, it turned its head several times towards the direction of rescuers with a sweet expression, which melted the hearts of anyone who reads the touching story.
