When three blind cats were found abandoned in a warehouse in Dubai, their future looked bleak. Fortunately, they were taken to a shelter and allowed to live. These cats, who had once belonged to a family, were separated when their owner moved away and could not take them with him. Without his sisters by his side, Blue was lost and despondent. But when he was finally reunited with his sisters Willa and Meadow, everything changed.
These cats were found just before Christmas. They were living in an abandoned warehouse in Dubai. The cats were not blind from birth, but a severe cold and conjunctivitis made the whole trio blind. The cats were taken off the street and placed in the care of a shelter. Volunteers named the boy Blue and the girls Willa and Meadow.
As it turned out, the cats previously had an owner. A man, who lived in the neighborhood, took Blue from the shelter, but soon he returned him, as the cat missed his sisters very much, and the man could not keep three cats at once. Without his sisters, Blue constantly cried; he didn’t eat and hardly slept, wandering around the house looking for his loved ones.
When the situation became critical because they could not keep the animals longer at the shelter, a miracle happened: Catherine Magno offered to take the whole family at once.
When Catherine brought a new blind cat home, she was primarily concerned about how her other pets would react. She remembered reading guides on caring for blind animals that didn’t give her much hope.
“I was scared,” she said. “But at the same time, I decided to treat it as a challenge.”
Surprisingly, the three quickly adapted to the new home and became friends with the other residents. The cats turned out to be curious and playful.
“They are all very different but extremely affectionate and need attention. I guess they rely more on the signals that come from the heart when they can’t see,” says Catherine.
This heartwarming story is a reminder of the importance of family, love, and companionship.
