A Woman Saw Someone Throwing A Plastic Bag In The Woods: She Decided to Check It Out and What She Found Shocked Her

A resident of Gloucester, England, was out for a walk one day when he saw someone get out of a white van and throw a plastic bag into the trash near the forest. Something about it seemed strange, so the woman went to investigate, and thank goodness they did.

It turned out that it was not a plastic bag but a tiny 8-week-old puppy.

The pet puppy was dumped like rubbish, making the woman furious. She grabbed her and took her straight to the veterinarian, who contacted RSPCA Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home for assistance. The shelter is currently caring for the pup, who they named Winnie.

“She’s such a sweet, loving little thing,” Medlock said. “We’re so grateful to the member of the public who found her and took her straight to us. We’ll make sure she gets all the care and attention she needs until she’s ready to start her new life.”.

“Poor Winnie was cruelly dumped in a bin like rubbish,” Hayley Medlock, a Cotswold Dogs and Cats Home staff member, said in a press release. “This is shocking. We believe she was abandoned because of a deformity in one of her front legs, which caused her elbow to fuse at an angle, leaving her unable to walk. Her owner may not have been able to afford the veterinary treatment she needed or, as a breeder, may have felt unable to sell her in this condition.”

In addition to the deformed leg, Winnie has had several seizures since she came into the care of the RSPCA, which they are actively investigating. Despite her health problems, she is a pleased, playful little puppy, and everyone is grateful that she is getting a second chance at life.

“She is such a fun girl,” said Ebony Poole, Winnie’s foster mom, in a press release. “She loves her playtime and will curl up on my lap for a nice nap afterward.”.

In approximately 15 weeks, Winnie will undergo surgery to amputate her deformed leg. After the operation, she will need physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions to help her adapt to life with only three legs. The rescue service has already spent a lot of money helping Winnie, but they are willing to do whatever it takes. They want her to lead the best life possible after everything she’s gone through.

“We are so determined to give her the best possible chance,” Medlock said. “She has been through so much in her short life, and we want to ensure she knows only love and happiness from now on.”.
