The Cat was Covered in Motor Oil and Had a Serious Flea Infestation That Caused Him to Lose His Ear

Lemond had a rough start in life. When he was rescued, the stray cat was covered in scars, he had lost one eye, and the orthopedic fossa was just an open wound. He also almost wholly lost the shape of one ear due to constant itching from a severe ear mite infection.

However, most people do not realize that under the rough exterior lives a lovely soul. DeKalb County Animal Control rescued Lemond in Georgia, and it didn’t take a genius to see that he was in terrible shape. He was covered in motor oil and had a severe flea infestation.

It was hard for him, he suffered while doctors were treating him, but the cat understood that he was being helped. Therefore, he took all the pain with joy!

The good news is that Lemond is on the road to recovery. He’s been treated for his injuries and infections and slowly gaining weight. He’s also started to learn how to trust people again. His foster mom, Sarma Lavins, says he’s the sweetest cat she’s ever met.

Lemond went into foster care with the help of his foster mom. It was the first time he had ever lived with a family.

In addition to being covered in boils, Lemond appeared more like a “pile of bones” due to his distended belly due to worms. However, he began to put on weight with delicious food and affection.

Lemond’s story has a happy ending. Sarma and her family adopted him; he now has a forever home. He may have scars on his body, but he’s overcome so much in his young life. He’s a true survivor and deserves all the love in the world.

Thanks to the love and care of his foster family, he’s slowly learning that not all humans are imperfect.
