Echo is the name of an adult kitten found on the streets in a very dilapidated condition. When he was brought to the veterinarian, it was clear that he was in a lot of pain. His infected eye made him look sad, and his tongue ulcers made it difficult for him to eat or drink. The veterinarian predicted that Echo would not make it through the night. But little Echo had other plans. He fought hard and overcame all the obstacles in his path.
“Well, Echo hasn’t gotten better; he’s gotten worse. He has tongue ulcers, ulcers on his nose, and a swollen eyelid. He’s still in good spirits, though. We are stepping up our care, though. IV fluids, pain medication, IV meds, and antivirals.” – shared the veterinarian who treated the cat.
Later, she took the cat to her home and watched over him constantly.
“ I brought his blanket home from the hospital, and he is getting the care he needs in my hospital wing (at home). He doesn’t eat on his own yet; I have to feed him special food from a syringe. He is given intravenous fluids, intravenous antibiotics, and painkillers. And also medicine for the eyes. Calicivirus sucks. The woman shares that he is in a good mood and likes to cook cookies”.
The woman opened a site where people could donate money.
“ Echo and I are very grateful for your donations. We’ve raised about $650 so far! That’s right! Thank you so much!”
“ Echo is feeling better. He plays with his fellow patients and still eats so much. His eyes are improving slowly but surely. Here is a portrait of him early Monday morning. Thank you for all the love and support for sweet Echo. We are overwhelmed.”
