Eggbert is a special cat for many reasons. This handsome striped boy has a unique appearance because he was born without an eye or nostril. His bio on the Fairfield Area Humane Society’s Facebook page painted two-year-old Eggbert as “an absolute angel of a kitten.”
Fairfield Area Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping needy animals. Many animals are available for adoption, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and more.
Eggbert was born without an eye or nostril, but he doesn’t let that stop him from living his best life. He loves to play and cuddle and gets along great with other cats.
Representatives of the Fairfield shelter shared: “He was born without an eye and nostrils, but apart from the fact that he snores like a chainsaw, he has no other defects!”
Fairfield also shared that Eggbert sometimes suffered from seizures in the past. Eggbert always received a lot of affection and care and was not afraid to give it in return. It is an incredible cat.
The shelter workers said they would give the cat away, but they would still watch him because he is not ordinary, like everyone else. He is special.
Holly Starr took Eggbert from the shelter. She already had a one-eyed cat, Lark, at home, so she was not afraid of these features of Eggbert.
Eggbert has made a remarkable recovery under Holly’s care. He no longer has seizures and is a very healthy cat. Even though he was born with some challenges, Eggbert is a happy and loved kitty who proves that anything is possible!
Holly said: “I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals with special needs. I want to ensure they have a loving home where they get all the attention they can handle.”
Eggbert is an excellent example of how love and care can change everything for an animal in need.
Adopting a cat with special needs is an enriching experience. Not only will you give a home to a hardy kitty who might otherwise be overlooked, but you’ll also enjoy all the love, purrs, and kisses that come with it.
