A starving and dehydrated cat was found in an alley in Nashville, TN. He was sent to the Metro Animal Control Shelter, where he was scheduled to be euthanized because of his poor health. However, shelter worker Rachel Brown decided to meet John Snow after seeing his photo and reading his story. And she could not leave this cat.
Other workers said that the cat would not live long. But Rachel wanted to adopt him and fought for his life.
When John Snow was brought to the shelter, he was emaciated and covered in fleas. He also suffered from several infections, including feline coronavirus (FCoV) and feline herpesvirus (FHV). The veterinarians at the shelter suggested that John Snow be put down because his chances of survival were meager.
However, Rachel Brown was determined to give John Snow a chance at life. She fought for him and eventually adopted him.
While Jon Snow was in the hospital, Rachel visited him daily, and he seemed to get healthier daily. All of his tests normalized on the fifth day in the hospital. They’d never seen anything like it, according to the veterinarians.
Somehow, despite everything, Jon Snow managed to escape. Rachel made a calculated gamble for Jon Snow’s life by risking it all with him. It paid off, and he is now living a happy life with his new mom, Rachel.
When asked about Jon Snow, Rachel says, “He is such a sweet cat. I’m so glad I was able to help him. He is a fighter.”
Today, Jon Snow is in perfect health. He has a lot of energy, enjoys playing, and follows his new mother around everywhere she goes. Every night, he snuggles up on her pillow and tells her how grateful he is that she saved him. “I’m so fortunate to have him,” Rachel remarked. “He makes my life a million times better.”
John Snow’s story is a miracle. He is a living example of the power of hope and love. If you are ever feeling down, remember John Snow and how he fought against all odds to survive. His story will remind you that anything is possible in this world.
