Two Kittens Warmed Against Each Other Because They Were Left Alone: This Is What Happened When The Kind Woman Found Them

In August, a kind woman was walking through a public garden in Montreal, Canada, and she came across two tiny kittens. They were terrified, huddled together, and their mother was nowhere to be seen. Lost to each other and very scared, the only thing they had for support was each other. She looked around for her mother or other siblings who might be everywhere but came up empty-handed. Not having the heart to leave them in this hopeless situation, she pulled them to safety and asked for help.

Fortunately, Alison, another equally big-hearted person, responded and took them home. She immediately started round-the-clock feedings and ensured all their needs. The woman named them Sylvester (a dark gray boy) and Effie, a little girl.

Alison decided to give the cats to a shelter because if they were cared for by a larger, specialized organization, the cats would find their permanent homes sooner. So she contacted Chatons Orphelins Montréal.

Selin, a shelter worker, said the babies were in good hands. They were able to continue weaning and switching to soft food. Also, they learned how to climb.

Sylvester is a little more outgoing than his sister, constantly seeking attention, and Effie follows along.

They were so close to each other that it was immediately apparent they would have to be adopted together; separating them wasn’t an option. Fortunately, after a few weeks of waiting, the perfect family adopted them.
