The World’s Oldest Cat Rabble Lived a Long Life: Here’s When and Why He Left Us

With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to Michel, the world’s oldest cat. The lovable Maine Coon reached an incredible 31 years, almost 150 years in human years! His owner, Michelle Heritage, says Michel was like a child to her, and she never stopped loving him. She credits his long life to the fact that she never had children and was able to lavish all of her love on him.

“Michel was a beloved family member and will be dearly missed. Thank you for giving us all the gift of your love and companionship – we are truly better for having known you. Rest in peace, Michel. You will never be forgotten.”

“I told my husband at Christmas that I believe this will be the last time we spend with Rubble. He rapidly got old towards the end and stopped consuming food, only drinking water.”

It did not become very easy for him. He went out for a walk and just didn’t come back. We found it later.

It was difficult for the owner because the cat lived with her from 20 until now until she was 52. That is, almost all her life. It is a heavy loss for her.

Rabble had his habits, his funny movements. He liked to sleep in one place and had a favorite food. And when he began behaving differently, the hostess realized something was wrong with him and that he didn’t have much time left.

But this cat had a wonderful life! He lived it happily!
