How I Rescued an Angry Frowning Homeless Cat with Thorns and He Became My Best Friend

It was a cold, winter morning when I spotted him. Huddled in a corner, trying to keep warm, was a bedraggled cat with angry eyes and sharp thorns poking out from his fur. I slowly approached him, not wanting to startle him, and held out my hand for him to sniff. He didn’t move. “It’s okay,” I whispered. “I’m not going to hurt you.” Gently, I scooped him into my arms and took him to the shelter.

The staff there cleaned him up and took care of his wounds. They also put up flyers around the neighborhood in case his owner was looking for him, but no one came forward. After a few weeks, it was clear that this cat was going to need a forever home. I took him home with me and he’s been my best friend ever since. Although he’s still a little bit grumpy, he’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever known. And I’m so glad I rescued him from that cold, winter morning.
