When Rutile was just two-year-old ginger and white kitten, he was donated to Lollypop Farm, a Fairport, New York-based animal care charity. Unfortunately, the cute kitten was among over 90 cats saved from a home fire in Perinton. Rutile was injured when he got to the shelter, but the volunteers there were willing to help him with whatever he needed.
“Rutile suffered several burns from the fire, including horrible burns on all four paws, an upper respiratory infection, and singed whiskers and fur.”
Thankfully, with the help of the volunteers at Lollypop Farm, Rutile is on his way to recovery. He’s even started to play and explore his new surroundings. We’re so glad that Rutile is safe and sound and grateful to the volunteers who helped make that possible.
Despite his serious health problem, the lovely cat was grateful and pleased to receive care with a lot of love and dedication. He had been desperate to be loved and scratched since he arrived, and whenever a worker approached him, he begged for pets and head-scratching.
Rutile adores every minute spent with his caregivers, but he is particularly delighted when they begin to cuddle and hold him. When Rutile’s injuries were effectively treated, veterinarians discovered that he had a cleft palate.
He was treated for the issue, which included an abscess on his heart, and has since been seen at Lollypop Farm. We hope he finds his forever home soon!
