There is something extraordinary about the bond between animals. They can provide comfort and healing in many cases when humans cannot. This is undoubtedly the case with Peyton, a kitten rescued from a rough situation. Without the love and care of another cat, she may not have made it.
Peyton and her sister were found as orphans, in rough shape. They were taken in by AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue and immediately placed in a foster home. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not make it, but Peyton could pull through with the help of round-the-clock feedings and thorough care.
The little gray kitten finally let out her first purr when she felt better. Then, another cat in the house, a big black one, decided to take notice of her. He slowly approached and began licking her head.
It was clear that he wanted to be friends.
The two have been inseparable ever since. Peyton has even started following her new friend, imitating everything he does.
“Simon (the orange kitten) was found all alone by a good Samaritan, in horrible condition. He was only four weeks old, had a scratched-up nose, upset belly, malnourished, and so hungry,” Nadija shared.
They intended to introduce her to other fosters after seeing how much she might benefit from having a buddy. Nadija was contacted about an orange tabby who had been brought to the rescue as a singleton.
As soon as they met, it was clear that these two were meant to be friends. The orange tabby, Simon, immediately started grooming Peyton, and their bond was instantaneous. It is truly unique how much comfort and healing animals can provide for one another.
This touching tale of animal friendship will warm your heart and remind you of the power of love. Animals have a way of finding us when we need them most, and Peyton is a perfect example of that. Thanks to her new friend, she is healthy and happy. We can all learn a lot from their example.
