A good woman opened her house for a friendly stray cat and later found litter with kittens in her closet a few days later.
One day, a 95-year-old Las Vegas Blanche spotted a gray cat in her backyard rummaging for food. The cat was dirty and had only skin and bones. Blanche started leaving food and water for the cat and asked if it belonged to a neighbor, but no one came to claim it.
The cat had a terrible ear, and the woman knew she was not being cared for.
Blanche began to leave food and water for the cat and asked if it belonged to a neighbor, but no one came to demand it.
A few days later, Blanche found the cat in her house, rummaging through her closet. “She had kittens in my laundry basket,” she said.
“She’s my little buddy,” said Blanche. “I’m so glad I was able to help her.”
Family members took turns caring for the mother cat and her precious four. “Blanche couldn’t bend over or be physically active, so she forced her family to help while she was in control.”
They continued to care for the cat and her babies until rescue teams “Abandoned Pets” found space and resources to help.
“I took Aberdeen’s mother and her four young children. She had a wrinkled ear, which made her extremely unique. It was thought to be the result of a serious ear mite infection when she lived on the street”, said Ellen from the shelter.
The cat was amiable. They huddled with everyone who approached her. She was happy to be warm now, have food, and be with her children.
