Steve Hamel, a photographer from Los Angeles, had a surprise visitor in his garage one day last December. As he was fixing his jeep, he noticed a small, adorable kitten hiding among the tools and equipment. Steve didn’t have any cats himself, so he assumed the kitten must be lost and went in search of her home. What happened next is an amazing story of friendship and compassion that will make you smile!
The kitten, who Steve named Mimi, was very social and followed him around as he looked for her owner. Steve searched the neighborhood, knocked on doors, and put up posters, but no one claimed her. After a few days, it became clear that Mimi was going to need a new home. Steve took her to get vaccinated and spayed, and then she moved in with him!
Mimi quickly settled into her new life and became best friends with Steve’s dog, Baxter. The two of them are always cuddling or playing together, and it’s clear they are very happy. Steve is so glad he found Mimi that day in his garage, and we’re sure Mimi is glad too!
