Almost everyone uses at least one phone these days. And most children have them!
In just one decade, phones have become available to everyone. Of course, they make our lives more convenient, but there are still many questions about whether they are safe for us.
The main issue is radio wave radiation, which is inevitable with any cell phone. Many smart doctors have been sounding the alarm for years: talking on the phone a lot puts you at an increased risk of developing cancerous tumors in the head and neck. After all, they absorb the radio frequency energy waves that emanate from the phone.
Of course, many factors come into play here. How often and for how long do you talk on your cell phone? Where do you carry it? Where does it lie when you sleep? But scientists have little doubt about one thing: cell phones – and smartphones in particular – can cause cancer!
The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) allows the sale of phones with radiation strengths up to 1.6 SAR.
CNET and its editor Donald Bell decided to test the most popular models of modern smartphones for their safety.
Here are the 5 most “toxic” phones sold in the United States:
- Motorola Droid Maxx, SAR – 1.54;
- Motorola Droid Ultra, SAR 1.54;
- Motorola Moto E, SAR 1.54
- Alcatel One Touch Evolve, SAR 1.49;
- Huawei Vitria, SAR 1.49.
For comparison, the iPhone 6S has a SAR of 1.18.
Even this short list shows that the main thing is to pay attention to the manufacturer. You already know the names of the three worst in this industry.
The next time you go to the store to buy a new mobile phone, try to find out the level of its SAR security in advance. This information can always be found on the Internet.
